With almost a decade of experience advising on worker relations issues, she balances a high level of technical proficiency and skill in dealing with complex legal issues with a pragmatic and commercial approach. Hannah works closely with her clients as a trusted partner. When it comes to the most confronting and sensitive issues that arise in the workplace, Hannah is particularly adept at supporting clients to manage risk, find practical solutions and deliver the best outcomes.
She advises employers across a wide range of industries, as well as senior employees. Hannah has experience in pursuing and defending personal grievance claims and interim applications, and advising clients on workplace investigations, bullying, discrimination and harassment issues. Hannah is also experienced in conducting workplace investigations. She partners with clients conducting disciplinary, performance management, restructuring and redundancy, and medical capacity processes, and frequently advises clients on the protection of confidential information, restraints of trade, and complex entitlements and Holidays Act issues.
Hannah has a wealth of experience in dispute resolution, working collaboratively and strategically with clients to achieve desired outcomes. She regularly represents parties at mediation, and she draws on significant experience appearing before the Employment Relations Authority, Employment Court, District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.
Recognised by the Doyle’s Guide as a Rising Star in Employment and WHS Law in 2022 and 2023, Hannah originally joined Kiely Thompson Caisley in 2017. She returned to the firm in 2024 after several years in the national employment team of a large, top-tier firm.
