In a precedent-setting decision issued on 28 February 2019, the Employment Court has upheld a decision of the Employment Relations Authority that the terms of a collective agreement between Jacks Hardware and Timber Ltd (Jacks) and First Union Inc (First Union) are to be fixed: Jacks Hardware and Timber Limited v First Union Incorporated [2019] NZEmpC 20.
