The Labour Party line-up: what's in store for employment law

Following the election on 17 October 2020, the Labour Party won an outright majority for the first time under the Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) electoral system. That means Labour will be able to govern alone. As of the date of writing, Labour has not yet formed a new government and it is unknown whether Labour will enter into any arrangements with other parties. However, regardless of any such arrangements, Labour will foreseeably have full control over the legislative agenda for the upcoming Parliamentary term.
